Purpose
If you're not in public knowledge graphs, GenAI systems may not understand or surface you. This procedure establishes your brand across key knowledge sources.

Step 1: Claim Google Knowledge Panel
- Search for your brand on Google
- If panel exists, click "Claim this knowledge panel"
- Verify ownership through official channels
- Keep information updated
If no panel exists:
- Build presence across other platforms first
- Consistent naming and information helps trigger panel creation
Step 2: Create/Update Wikidata Entry
Wikidata is a primary source for many AI systems.
- Go to wikidata.org
- Search for your organization
- If not found, create new item:
Required fields:
- Label (your company name)
- Description (brief description)
- Instance of (Q4830453 = business enterprise)
- Official website (P856)
- Founded date (P571)
- Headquarters location (P159)
- Industry (P452)- Add identifiers:
- Twitter username (P2002)
- LinkedIn company ID (P4264)
- Crunchbase ID (P2088)
Step 3: Optimize Crunchbase Profile
- Claim your profile at crunchbase.com
- Complete all available fields:
- Company overview
- Founding date
- Headquarters
- Website
- Social links
- Funding information (if applicable)
- Team members
Step 4: Update LinkedIn Company Page
Ensure alignment with other sources:
- [ ] Company name matches exactly
- [ ] Description is consistent
- [ ] Website URL is correct
- [ ] Industry is accurate
- [ ] Company size is current
- [ ] Locations are listed
Step 5: Apple Business Connect (if applicable)
For businesses with physical locations:
- Go to Apple Business Connect
- Claim your business
- Add accurate information
- Verify ownership
Step 6: Maintain Entity Consistency
Critical: Use the EXACT same name everywhere.

Link your profiles together:

Crunchbase → Links to website and socials
LinkedIn → Links to website
